A UNIQUE BOARDING SCHOOL PROGRAM IN SWITZERLAND

The US high school program at the Ecole d’Humanité is a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum for students in grades 8 through 12. Learners can opt to challenge themselves in Advanced Placement (AP)® courses or pursue the Advanced Placement International Diploma (APID)® in preparation for university study worldwide.

The Ecole d’Humanité is home to one of the only progressive international high school programs in Europe. In our boarding school classes we support students in finding their passions, following their curiosity, and discovering their unique talents.

Complementing our challenging academic program is a rich and diverse set of co-curricular courses, with a strong emphasis on arts and outdoor education. The Ecole d’Humanité’s co-curricular program nourishes the creative, athletic and personal development of our students, while teaching them valuable life skills.

A MORE FLEXIBLE WAY OF LEARNING

The US High School curriculum at the Ecole d’Humanité allows students to delve deeply into core academic subjects. Our classes are held in small, multi-aged groups and are structured more like university seminars than typical high school classes. In consultation with their academic advisors, students select courses not according to age or grade, but rather to interest and readiness. This allows our students to challenge themselves with more advanced classes when they’re able to, and receive support where needed.

Thematic topics guide our boarding school’s classes and cater to students’ interests and passions. Classes organized around compelling themes captivate students’ curiosity and motivate them as they build their knowledge base and acquire new intellectual skills.
