Ecole d'Humanité Hasliberg AG [Ecole] takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentiality and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.

In cooperation with our hosting provider, we strive to protect our databases as well as possible against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or falsification.

Data such as pages accessed or names of files accessed, date and time are stored on the server for statistical purposes without this data being directly related to your person. Collection of personal data 

When you visit our website, we collect personal data such as IP address or pages visited. 

In addition, we collect your contact data such as name and address if this is necessary to process your request (e.g. for sending information material or newsletters or when filling out a contact or inquiry form). 

More personal data will be collected during the contract initiation phase and for contract fulfilment. 


Processing of personal data

Basically, we only process personal data that is necessary for the performance of services such as, but not limited to:

  • Verification of student’s academic and other information.

  • Administration and operation of the Ecole

  • Organization, management and implementation of extracurricular activities, including but not limited to the purchase of insurance, medical assistance

  • Mailing of notices, newsletters and circulars to parents and students

  • statistical and research purposes

  • other school-related purposes 

  • alumni activities.

In order to continually improve our website, we evaluate our website log files for statistical purposes; individual visitors remain anonymous.

Personal data may be stored in our database systems and online portals, and is part of students' official student records. Personal data may also be stored in online student resources such as the Global Classroom.

Transfer of personal data

Personal data may be transferred to third parties. Recipients of this data may include, for example, service providers contracted to perform IT tasks or providers of services and content embedded in a website.

With the consent of the students, parents, guardians and/or if permitted or required by law, data may be transferred to third parties (such as government agencies, insurance companies, health services, organizers of school and extracurricular activities). 

Storage of personal data

We process and store your personal data as long as this is necessary for the provision of our contractual services and/or in accordance with legal requirements. 

Privacy policy for newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on our website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time.

The services of the American Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited use cookies, among other things, and as a result, data is transferred to Google in the USA.

The newsletter is sent using the dispatch service provider Constant Contact, a newsletter dispatch platform of the US Constant Contact, Inc, Delaware, USA. 

Constant Contact may use the data of the recipients in pseudonymous form to optimize or improve its own services. Constant Contact may not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or to pass on their data to third parties.

  1. Vimeo

Plugins of the video portal Vimeo of Vimeo, LLC, New York, USA are integrated on our website. Each time you visit a website that offers one or more Vimeo video clips or interact with Vimeo plugins (e.g. by clicking the start button), a direct connection is established between your browser and a Vimeo server in the USA. Vimeo stores information about your visit and your IP address.

Our website uses social plugins of the social network Pinterest, which is operated by Pinterest Inc, San Francisco, CA, USA. Audio and Video Conferencing

We use audio and video conferencing services to communicate with our users and other persons. In particular, we may use them to conduct audio and video conferences, virtual meetings, and training such as webinars.

We only use services for which appropriate data protection is guaranteed. In addition to this privacy policy, any terms and conditions of the services used, such as terms of use or privacy statements, also apply.

Privacy policy for objection advertising mails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the framework of the imprint obligation for the purpose of sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The Ecole expressly reserves the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited promotional information, such as spam e-mails.


Chargeable services

For the provision of fee-based services, we ask for additional data (e.g. payment details) in order to be able to execute your order or your order. We store this data in our EDP systems for as long as required by law.

You have the right to receive, upon request and free of charge, information about the personal data that has been stored about you. In addition, you have a right to rectification, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to processing and to the portability of this personal data in accordance with the statutory provisions.

You also have a right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority. This is usually located at your place of residence.

  1. Revocation of consent

You may revoke any consent you have given us (e.g. when seeking information material about the Ecole or subscribing to the newsletter) at any time by notifying us with effect for the future.

  1. Data transfer to the USA

The Ecole website also includes tools from companies based in the USA. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to point out that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of the DSG or EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. Therefore, it cannot be excluded that US authorities process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. Ecole has no influence on these processing activities.
